RIVER TRIP ITINERARIES

4 to 9-Day Trips Through The Grand Canyon

RIVER TRIP ITINERARIES

Grand Canyon river trips vary in length and location.  All our river trips travel on the Colorado River through the canyon by 35-foot motorized rafts during the day.  No rowing or previous whitewater experience is needed!

Trips normally consist of 26 guests, along with outstanding crew members, all of who quickly become your “canyon family” and make for life-long friends.  Once you join a river trip with Canyon Ministries, all transportation, food, and equipment is supplied.

During our adventure, not only do we see and study amazing geology during the day, but sleeping under an awesome canopy of stars at night is often a highlight for most folks.

4-Day Grand Canyon River Trips

Explore the lower 90 miles of the Grand Canyon, from Whitmore Helipad at river mile 187 to Pearce Ferry at Lake Mead. These trips meet in Las Vegas at a designated hotel in the morning for a scenic flight to the Bar 10 Ranch on the North Rim of Grand Canyon. Horseback riding, skeet shooting, and other activities are available for your fun-filled day. (Optional ATV rides are available for an additional charge.)

That evening enjoy a hearty western dinner, featuring the famous grass-fed beef raised from birth to brisket right there at the Bar 10.  Then sit back and relax on the greenest grass lawn anywhere at the Grand Canyon, as the stars come out while you enjoy the absolute best country show for 80 miles!

Overnight accommodation options include sleeping in a Conestoga covered wagon, on the beautiful deck, or in the historic Bar 10 lodge. The next morning, an exhilarating 6 to 7-minute helicopter ride will whisk you to the canyon floor where the Grand Canyon is explored for two and a half days as you boat down the Colorado River.  Where the river nears Lake Mead, we transfer to large jet boat for an exhilarating ride to Pearce Ferry.  We are then shuttled up the hill to meet an air-conditioned coach bus for the return to Las Vegas, arriving by late afternoon.

If you look at the Arizona River Runners website, you will not see information specific to a 4-day trip, but rather a 3-day trip.  Most information you read about ARR’s 3-day trip there will apply to our trip, just that we have an extra day and night on the river together.

For the adventure of a lifetime, raft with us 187 miles along the Colorado River from the start of the Grand Canyon at Lees Ferry to Whitmore Helipad, as you encounter thrilling rapids and amazing points of interest along the river corridor.  Side hikes (which many tell us became their favorite part) provide the opportunity to realize the canyon’s beauty and depths.

This upper-river trip originates in Marble Canyon, AZ, but may include an optional flight from Las Vegas to begin your trip.  Days are filled with a mixture of whitewater rapids and smooth gliding water as we stop throughout the day at featured highlights for teaching and exploration.  Nights are spent along the banks of the Colorado River under the most amazing display of stars you have ever seen.

On the last morning of the trip, you will have a short helicopter flight out of the canyon to the Bar 10 Ranch on the North Rim, and then fly on an airplane back to your point of origin by mid-afternoon.

We encourage you to review more detailed information on the Arizona River Runners website. The information about ARR’s 7-day trip applies to our trips.  Both the 7 and 9-day trips cover the same river miles, but the springtime 9-day gives us two extra days for a more relaxed pace, and the opportunity to do additional hikes not possible in the heat of summer.

NOTE: If you are on a charter or other special “by invitation only” trip (i.e. Christian Leaders Trip) please review your information packet for the trip itinerary, which will likely be different than the information above.
