PRIVATE TOUR: Full Day Grand Canyon

Our most complete Grand Canyon experience.

PRIVATE TOUR: Full Day Grand Canyon

$199 per adult

A FULL DAY OF ADVENTURE EXPLORING THE GRAND CANYON!

See the very most of the Grand Canyon South Rim on a CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE private Grand Canyon tour, where you help determine the day as we go along.

Starting at 8:00 am in Flagstaff, we will depart on our scenic journey to the Grand Canyon National Park.  Along the way, we will talk about the landscape we travel through, which includes a variety of plants, animals, and unique geologic features.

Once entering the park, we will start our morning with an introduction to the canyon’s geology and features that will set the stage for the rest of our adventure that day.  The morning will be filled with hands-on displays and various overlooks to see different views of the canyon.  After that, we will arrive at the Grand Canyon Village, where you will help decide whether we focus on pioneer history or take a short walk to a secret fossil bed area for a “sea creature scavenger hunt” as we look at marine fossils that include brachiopods, clams, crinoids, and corals along with one of the best views of Bright Angel Canyon in the park.

Following lunch, we will visit the most scenic overlooks of the canyon’s east side as we move from point to point along Desert View Drive.  During this part of the day, we will focus much more on Creation and Flood geology, helping you understand how the layers were deposited and how the canyon was subsequently carved.  From Desert View, we will have wide panoramic views of the distant Marble Platform and Vermillion Cliffs before we exit the park and drive down 3,000 feet into the Painted Desert and lands of the Navajo Nation.

At Cameron, we will visit the historic Cameron Trading Post, built in 1916 and providing one of the largest and best locations to shop for handmade Native art, along with souvenirs related to the Navajo Nation, Grand Canyon, Route 66, and the American West.  As we make our way back to Flagstaff, be on the lookout for Pronghorn antelope grazing on golden grasslands among the scattered cinder cone volcanoes of the San Francisco Volcanic Field.  Our final destination at the base of Arizona’s highest point of Humphrey’s Peak at 12,633 feet will conclude our day of adventure together, leaving you filled with new insight into both the science and scripture behind America’s most spectacular natural wonder—the Grand Canyon.

UNIQUE ASPECTS OF A CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

All our CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE tours provide you with a custom, private, and VIP experience.  You not only get the guide and tour vehicle all to yourself, but you also get to choose how the day unfolds as we tour together through God’s creation.  During most of our private tours, you get to choose whether to bring your lunch that day or eat somewhere during the tour (cost of lunch not included).  During the tour, we provide water bottles, blankets, and umbrellas.  Because this is a VIP tour, we even provide a selection of snacks during the day!

Available Monday–Saturday, all our CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE tours start and end in Flagstaff, Arizona, and run approximately 10 hours in total length, from 8:00 am to around 6:00 pm.  We do not run tours on Sundays.  Due to the unique aspects of these tours requiring us to set aside a guide and vehicle for the entire day, these tours are by confirmation only.  When you book, we will confirm availability as soon as possible and process your payment at that time.  If your request is unavailable for that day, we will offer additional days or tours that may be available.

When you book, be sure to add this 190-page full-color biblical guide to the Grand Canyon for a more complete view of this landscape and a reminder of the places we visited on our tour.

This hardback, spiral-bound, full-color guide to the Grand Canyon explores its geology, fossils, ecology, and history from a biblical perspective.

Featuring multiple three-page foldouts with panoramic photos for each of the major overlooks along both the South and North Rims and a spiral-bound lay-flat design to help you as you go through it, this book will be brought by your guide and given to you at the start of your tour.

We also have additional guidebooks for Zion and Bryce National Parks, as well as Yellowstone and Grand Teton.  All 3 guide books may be added to your tour, or ordered ahead of time from our online store if you need them beforehand.
